WHITIREIA Polytechnic students will graduate next Monday - accommodated under one new, high-tech roof.
Two thousand students and guests will attend in the new atrium, which features a clear, inflated roof made of the same materials as the Beijing Olympics’ swimming Cube.
It is the first time all of the school’s faculties will graduate together.
There will be two ceremonies, one at 10am for Arts and Communications, and Service Industries and Trades and a second at 4pm for Health, Education and Social Sciences and Te Wānanga Māori Students.
Special guests will include Minister of Education Anne Tolley, Mayor of Porirua Jenny Brash, Trustees of the Whitireia Foundation, Margaret Faulkner and Chris Kirk-Burnand and Ngati Toa’s Pou Arahi and Taku Parai.
