Crowds bask in the popsicle bands 'cool'

AS the Tip Top Santa Parade finished on Dixon St, many Wellingtonians made their way to Civic Square where the After Party was just beginning.

At Civic Square the crowd was first entertained by Wellington Batucada band. People were blown away by the infectious samba rhythm as well as the wind.

Santa arrived to wish the crowd a merry Christmas, and pose for photo opportunities with children.

The party was wrapped up by the Popsicle band, who conducted an Air Guitar competition and danced with the Chipmunks.
