Festival colour from the queen of flowers

DSC_0137SUMMER was welcomed with a burst of colour this weekend at the Wellington Botanic Garden annual rose festival.

Visitors went on guided walks through the gardens and watched botanical and watercolour artists at work in the begonia house.

Among Wellington residents and tour groups flocking to the event were a senior citizens’ club exploring Wellington for the day, and the Titahi Bay Probus photography interest group trying out their cameras.
