ARMED  police were called to a massage parlour in central Wellington yesterday morning.

Around 9am, two men entered the Kensington massage parlour in Victoria St through a side entrance.

One was believed to have a pistol, the Dominion Post has reported.

The men yelled and threatened a receptionist. No-one was injured.

The men had left the premises by the time police arrived.

Police at the scene confirmed the incident was an “armed response”, which meant the two streets with entrances to the parlour were not closed off to public.

Armed police were called to a brothel in central Wellington this morning.

An intoxicated man entered the Kensington Inn on Victoria St at around nine o’clock this morning and threatened a receptionist, says a witness at the scene.

A spokesperson from the Wellington central police station confirmed they were called to the address, but could give no further details.

“[I] can’t give details about the job,” he says. “All I know is we had an armed call out this morning.”

The matter is still under investigation.
