Masterton’s Vintage Aviator Anzac Day tribute

A SQUADRON of World War I aircraft took to the skies on an overcast Wairarapa afternoon as part of an ANZAC day tribute.

The aircraft, constructed by Masterton-based Vintage Aviator, spread their wings for a large crowd at Hood Aerodrome on the afternoon Saturday 28 April after being grounded due to rain.

Aircraft included the famous Sopwith Camel, the Fokker DR.I Triplane and the DeHavilland Tigermoth.
