Hutt – a perfect place to grow veges

HUTT VALLEY is a great area to start a vege patch because of its good soil.

The City Council wants to encourage locals to put in vegetable gardens this spring and spokesperson Jeremy Partridge says there are many good reasons to develop a “green thumb” in the valley.

Jeremy Partridge says the Hutt City Council is currently trialling a new service, where a gardener will visit people in their homes to design a vegetable garden and composting area.
