PHOTOS: Warm welcome for sevens teams

Feb 1st, 2013 | By | Category: News, Top Picture

THE city streets were lined with thousands of rugby fans on Thursday afternoon, ready to welcome the international teams to the Hertz Wellington Sevens weekend.

Sunshine, cheers and waving flags greeted the players, who travelled in a colourful parade of floats to Civic Square.

There the teams were greeted my Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown and a crowd keen to kick off the weekend long party.
