Arts and craft market raises funds for school

A KILTED MAYOR joined bargain-hunters at Sacred Heart School’s market and car-boot sale in Petone last weekend.

‘Made in Petone’ is an art and craft market where artists who have a link to Petone can showcase their creations.

Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace, dressed in his kilt and on the way to a multicultural celebration in Lower Hutt, stopped by to show his support for the Easter raffle being sold on the day.

Stalls sold a range of items, from jewellery and original photo prints to clothing and baked goods.

Plenty of pre-loved goods and clothing were also being sold from car boots and face painting was available for kids [and the young at heart] by Andi Hulse from Attitude Face and Body Art.

A sausage sizzle was on the go for those who got a bit hungry while they were shopping.

Funds raised on the day went towards the Sacred Heart School Petone (new entrants to year 8).
