PHOTO ESSAY: Wellington Improv Troupe’s first winter show

Listen

WELLINGTON Improvisation Troupe performed their first winter show at Fringe bar last week.

The troupers come from around the Wellington region and come together every Wednesday night to perform a range of crazy antics on stage.

Ali Little, co-creative director of the Troupe along with Lyndon Hood, has performed improv all over the world and says it’s a lot of fun.

The Fringe Bar, on Cuba Street, hosts the weekly shows every Wednesday night at 8pm. Entry to the show is $10.

Jake Benge captured these images during the Troupe’s first winter show. (Click on the photographs to view the captions)

  1. We’re the Wellington Improvisation Troupe (not troupers, although I quite like that as a description!) , and I’m not the leader (just one of two Creative Directors, Lyndon Hood is the other). Also, it wasn’t our first night at the Fringe Bar, just our first Wednesday session this Winter. It was pretty loud when we were talking with Jake!

  2. Thanks, Ali. Have made those corrections to the post. – Newswire team.
