SENSING MURDER psychic Sue Nicholson is coming back to Carterton – for all the right reasons.

The Carterton Events Centre and crowd, rather than bad paranormal activity, have drawn her back.

Nicholson’s Answers from the Other Side show was typical of those held in the months since the centre was opened, said Carterton Shelley Paget, events and project coordinator.

“Sue and her husband really enjoyed the Wairarapa and the calibre that the events centre was able to offer for her show, so booked very shortly after their last visit, keen to return,” she said.

Miss Paget says the venue is versatile and an asset to the Wairarapa, making it ideal for shows like Nicholson’s.

Tiered seating allows the centre to cater for up to 300.

Miss Paget says recent events have included community shows, bridal expos, weddings, fashion shows, Kokomai festival, Wai art displays, scout groups, local farmers meeting.

The Events Centre project went slightly over its $8,195,000 budget, costing $8,862,196.

Since opening the doors in October 2011, the centre has held a variety of events.

Miss Paget, who recently started her role, is glad to have all sorts of people utilising the centre as well.

“It’s so great to see not only the local community, but groups from all over New Zealand utilizing the centre and all it can offer,” she says.

“It’s doing more than we could ever imagine and it’s only going to get better.”

The centre has range of meeting and break out rooms and is joined to the town library, a youth and information centre and Plunket.

Answers from the Other Side is on Wednesday July 24, and eventfinder.co.nz says it includes interaction with audience members and messages they might receive from the dead.
