Photo Essay: A day in the life of a deputy mayor

AFTER results went his way in the 2013 local government elections, Justin Lester was selected by Mayor Celia Wade-Brown to be Wellington’s deputy mayor.

Mr Lester has seen his days change and now gets more invitations to various different events, this includes prize giving’s, school events and many more.

He has even been within metres of the visiting Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

April 16 was a busy day for Mr Lester as he ran all over the city to various different events, but ultimately it was just another day in the life of the deputy mayor.

JOSH PRICE joined him for the day, and produced this photo essay slideshow. To view captions, maximise the slideshow window and click on ‘show info’ in the top right hand corner menu.
