Compulsory savings scheme gets mixed reception

A MIXED reaction to Labour’s plans to introduce compulsory savings schemes at the meet the candidates meeting in Maungaraki Tuesday.

Holly Walker campaigning for the Greens says that lower income families can’t afford to live let alone be forced to save.

But Charles Waldegrave from the Anglican Family Centre in Lower Hutt says that compulsory saving will be better in the long run.
