LABOUR held the first of its leadership campaign meetings in Wellington last night.

The four MPs hoping to get the top job outlined their plans to take the party forward.

Wellington Central MP Grant Robertson used the occasion to advocate for workers’ rights.

The popular Wellington MP is facing tough competition in the race for the leader’s job.

Hauraki-Waikato MP Nanaia Mahuta, acting leader David Parker and former union boss Andrew Little were also seeking party support.

Andrew Little told members he was the man to unify the party.

The new leader will be announced on November 18th.
