Taste-off to determine who’s making the best beer

Nov 21st, 2014 | By | Category: Radio News

A BLIND tasting this weekend will determine whether the best craft beers are being made in the bottom of the North island, or the top of the South.

Wellington bar the  Fork & Brewer is hosting the inaugural Craft Beer Taste-Off which will see the public testing  22 beers from the two regions, rating them from 1 to 5.

The winning region gets to host next year’s taste off.

Organiser Eckhard Marthen says they have big plans for the event which could become a Ranfurly Shield like competition.

Tickets are on sale at ticketdirect.co.nz or at the door on Saturday.
