New Zealand a popular choice for Syrians

Sep 7th, 2015 | By | Category: Lead Radio Story, Radio News

SYRIAN REFUGEES coming to New Zealand can expect a warmer reception than those heading to Europe according to a local Syrian.

Osama Alaidin has been living and working in New Zealand for 10 years and says his experiences have been overwhelmingly positive.

He says Syrians in Sweden face abuse from some locals, and his siblings have been called terrorists and had the police called on them.
