NEW ZEALAND athletes say trans-tasman rivalry will play a big part in the atmosphere at the World Cup final this weekend.

The All Blacks are playing for their third World Cup title against old rivals Australia in Twickenham on Sunday morning.

Samantha Sinclair who plays netball for the Magic in the ANZ Championship says she is confident the All Blacks can win, but is wary of the Australian threat.

She says the competitiveness between New Zealand and Australian teams is always a bit higher than in regional games.
