Housing New Zealand tenants to be relocated

Nov 5th, 2015 | By | Category: Radio News

MORE than a hundred families living in New Zealand state houses are to be relocated by January next year.

Housing New Zealand is nearing the end of its earthquake prone building programme.

HNZ representative Cassandra Rivers says it won’t be safe for tenants to live in the houses while work is carried out, because of the intrusive and extensive nature of the work.

She says they will make sure the transition is thorough and tenants will not incur any costs as a result of the relocation.
