Tramping a popular summer pastime

Dec 16th, 2015 | By | Category: Radio News

TRAMPING is becoming an increasingly popular Kiwi summer holiday activity.

The Wellington Tramping Association has seen an increase in people using the tracks, in particular families making use of the holiday period to tramp together.

Wellington’s proximity to the Orongorongo Valley and Tauraruas makes it perfect for overnight trips and camping.

Tramping Association Spokesman Andre Zubkov says tracks within Wellington city are good for those just wanting to do day tramps.
