A new after school programme at Porirua’s Bishop Viard College aims to sharpen the technology skills of the school’s parents.

The new Computer for Homes initiative gives parents from low income homes the opportunity to learn computer skills and get a free computer when they complete the course.

Principal Rose Sawaya says the programme is already under way and she’s excited by the progress being made.
