Locals work hard to bring wildlife back to bush

Oct 14th, 2016 | By | Category: Radio News

Wilton and Wadestown residents have been busy trying to speed up growth in local bush areas.

The Grow Te Ahumairangi forest group has been landscaping, planting and mulching for the past year as they work their way through a five year regeneration plan.

Organiser Errol Greaves says they’re supported by Wellington City Council and Royal Forest and Bird who have supplied trees for the project.

He says he wants to see native wildlife thriving in the bush once again.
