Celebrity backing for US presidential candidates.

American celebrities have been taking to social media to throw their support behind the two presidential candidates in the run up to polling day tomorrow.

Singer, songwriter Katy Perry has been very vocal in her support of Hillary Clinton, not only by performing at her rallies but also by tweeting messages of support.


She tweeted her appreciation for Clinton during the last debate by suggesting she drop the mic, which is a reference to an internet trend of people dropping their mics to signal a triumph.katy-perry-3-edit

Actor Morgan Freeman has also thrown his weight behind Hillary Clinton, narrating a video which has gone viral.


Kerry Washington from the TV series Scandal is showing her support for Clinton not just by tweeting but also by calling Florida voters personally in a bid to secure crucial votes.


Singer Cyndi Lauper’s another in the Clinton camp, She hit twitter while watching the presidential debate.


She’s no fan of trump.


However Republican Party nominee Donald Trump does have his supporters.


Musician Ted Nugent is backing Trump on twitter with a string of tweets telling his fans why they should vote for Trump.



Actor Charlie Sheen is not only backing Trump but wanting to be his Vice President as well.



While Donald Trump has alienated many female voters with his comments on women’s looks, he is being endorsed by actress and comedian Kristie Alley.



American actress  Stacey Dash has showed her support for Trump by offering to take out the squatters currently living in the White House.
