WATCH: Kapiti town takes pride in world record attempt

Oct 26th, 2017 | By | Category: Featured Article

The small Kapiti Coast town of Paekakariki  is waiting to see if it’s secured a place in the Guinness Book of records.

Locals staged what they hope will be deemed the world’s shortest gay pride parade at the weekend.

The ‘official’ parade was ten meters long, and saw around a hundred  people march cross across the town’s Zebra crossing to the community hall.

Even the rain didn’t deter the community and it’s dogs from taking part in the record attempt.
