Your money goes further with Indigo & Iris

Nov 21st, 2017 | By | Category: Radio News

An organisation aiming to end avoidable blindness in the Pacific is set to gain from an unusual source.

21 year old Bonnie Howland and 25 year old Hannah Duder are the women behind social enterprise Indigo & Iris, and they want your money to go further than their pockets.

Their mascara raises funds for the Fred Hollows Foundation which works to restore sight to the needlessly blind.

The connection between buying mascara and curing blindness isn’t lost on Bonnie Howland.

Social enterprises are companies which deliver positive social and environmental impact.

CEO Hannah Duder describes them as somewhere between charities and corporations.

Bonnie and Hannah are currently on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, with 15 days left to raise $75,000 and get their business moving.
