Big challenges overcome by special olympians

Special Olympians from around New Zealand are in Wellington this week competing in the annual National Summer Games.

Teams came from as far as Auckland and Canterbury to compete in basketball and indoor bowling at the ASB Arena today.

Manawatu Basketball coach Donna Lewer says that there were a number of challenges they had to overcome to compete.

However Donna says that the enjoyment of the players and the enjoyment of coaching them was worth it.
