Tory St businesses happy to see council project end

Aug 15th, 2018 | By | Category: Radio News

Tory Street businesses affected by a recent Wellington City Council project are happy to see the end of it.

After damage from the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake, council attempted to bring more people into the area which had been blocked off.

All carparks in lower Tory street were removed to add furniture and seating for Wellingtonians invited to come to the area and reimagine how the street could look.

Smack Bang owner Amelia Lingonis says business is back to normal after the return of people and cars to the area.
