Teachers are back at the negotiating table

Teachers across NZ went on strike for one day last month when agreement could not be reached on concerns around workloads, classroom sizes and pay.

Liam Rutherford, the lead negotiator for the Primary Teachers Collective says the Ministry of Education is yet to offer the resolutions needed to avoid a looming crisis.

He says teachers are willing to strike again if things aren’t resolved.
