Decreasing numbers of people watching TV is impacting on Māori broadcasting.

An increasing number of viewers choosing live streaming options is impacting on the New Zealand broadcasting industry.

TVNZ’s Nevak Rogers says while Māori programmes like Te Karere will always have a place, they’re wanting to normalise Māori in everyday programming.

She says they need to rethink their strategy to cater for an audience wanting Māori content.
