No support for meat tax here

A Kiwi farming advisor disagrees with overseas scientists calling for a tax on meat.

A study published in British science journal Nature advocates for governments taxing meat to reduce consumption and the effects of climate change.

Federated Farmers Meat and Wool Chairman Miles Anderson says the study doesn’t apply to New Zealand.

He says Kiwi farmers are already using best practice when it comes to our available farmland.
