Red cross wants Kiwis to dig deep for quake victims

The death toll from Friday’s Indonesian earthquake is rising.

The Indonesian National Disaster agency is reporting 832 deaths after the 7.5 earthquake and tsunami struck Sulawesi.

This is the second major quake to rock Indonesia in two months.

New Zealand Red Cross spokesperson Gemma Snowdon says the Indonesian Red Cross is focusing on search and rescue and providing lifesaving aid, water, shelter, and medical treatment.

She says the best thing Kiwis can do is donate cash.
